Before you begin, this is an important piece to understand. These Strength Programs are not instructed through the entirety of the workout. ONLY the movements are demonstrated and given modifications. The goal of this is to let you go at a SAFE, comfortable pace, so you can LEARN how to go about strengthening on your own in the future. There is an education factor to this, as opposed to just knocking out a workout for the sake of getting it done.
I am treating this as I would with my in-person clients, to help you focus on being intentional with your movements, allowing yourself enough rest periods, and not overdoing it which could happen in an instructed workout. Many people get discouraged if they cannot keep up with the instructor and therefore rush through, lose good form, increase their risk of injury, and could even deter them from continuing with strengthening altogether.
This is meant to make you an ACTIVE part of your healing and improving your health instead of letting someone do all of the work for you and you just following along. Do your best, and go at your own pace! If you need additional support, please utilize the Private Facebook Group, that's what it's there for!
The idea behind The Mind + Movement Method is to help YOU enhance and/or begin improving your health with the basics of health. You will learn to become more self aware of what your body needs and how to live a proactive lifestyle that promotes longevity, to live well and live longer! I know what it's like to not feel your best and experience chronic symptoms, and adjusting my lifestyle made significant change in my overall health. When you have a simple understanding of how your body responds and what it needs, you can apply these fundamental principles to your daily life to create sustainable action. It took time to get to where I am, being able to manage my health easier, remain pain free, & not overwhelmed. It'll take time for you too, but becoming an active participant in your health makes it that much more rewarding going forward. You want to build a solid foundation on smaller goals and baby steps, to ensure you are consistent with your efforts. It is not my job to tell you what to do, rather, it's to equip you with the basic tools to turn your health and healing around, because you know what your body needs most!
As you make your way through, given that you have dedicated the necessary time & action, you will start to feel empowered, strong, & confident that you have cultivated the energy & shift to maintain this lifestyle long-term.
